Renée VanderWindt

A spiritual director is one who helps another to recognize and to follow the inspirations of grace in his life, in order to arrive at the end to which God is leading him. ~ Thomas Merton Renée has learned throughout the joys and messiness of life to enjoy God, living deeply within the abiding assurance of being known and loved. She began this path journeying as a nurse, relishing in relationships which allowed her to share the holistic nature of health—physical, emotional and spiritual. She has always felt stirred to seek God’s presence, and in 2014 followed the call to Tyndale Seminary to train as a spiritual director, seeking to share the grace and gifts she has been given. As a spiritual director, Renée considers it a great privilege to be a quiet, encouraging presence as God reveals himself. She would be honored to hear your story, to abide in God’s presence together—intentionally lingering, listening and discerning God’s movements in your life—and to support you as you respond, nurture and deepen your relationship, seeking to glorify and enjoy God forever. Renée can be found outdoors walking her prayer labyrinth, savoring a cup of tea while enjoying a good book or captivating movie, or wishing her grandkids were close enough to read and cuddle everyday.
